I was pretty happy with my qualifying lap but Malc just pipped me to pole. At the start of the race it took my quite a few laps to get into a rhythm and in that time I racked up quite a few warnings and a penalty. In the first 5 laps or so Malc managed to pull a gap to me. Once I got into my rhythm I started to close it a little bit but then Malc opened up the gap again. On lap 13 I knew I was going to have to try something different to win this race. So, I pitted that lap and went onto softs (I wanted to go onto supersofts but oh well). Over the next 6 or so laps I chucked it up to rich and just went for it. By the time Malc had come out of the pit I was already 5 seconds ahead. Over the next 5 laps Malc reeled me in again and then he was right behind me. I knew the only way I could win the race was by letting Malc get close to me and then to try and frustrate him in the hope he makes a mistake and breaks his wing as I had a few penalties. This plan worked perfectly. Malc broke part of his front wing and started to lose lots of time. I then created a 7 second gap and this would have been enough to win the race. However, with a few laps to go my mum decided to come into my room and I looked away from my screen and crashed. I lost part of my front wing and got a puncture. Malc then went on to win the race.
