IRL F1 World Championship
Round 9
Brazilian Grand Prix
The Invictus Racing League continues on it's South American leg of the World Championship, which finds us in Interlagos for the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Brazilian Grand Prix is held at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace in Interlagos. Interlagos has a reputation as being a tough and demanding circuit with many challenging corners, elevation changes, a rough surface, and little room for error. Like most major circuits used for Grand Prix in Latin America such as the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome in Mexico City and the Almirante Brown Autodrome in Buenos Aires, Interlagos was (and still is) located in the confines of a sprawling urban neighborhood in a very large city.
Last time out FabulousChicken took his first win of the season at the Mexican Grand Prix with Ryan and Tranquillity finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively . Many drivers complained of engine reliability due to the high altitude and "thin-air" which meant only 9 cars made it to the starting grid. Sirspud, Hulkenburger and Sambamkid also struggled with engine reliability which resulted in them failing to finish the race.
UK-Tranquillity extended his lead over Craig in the Driver's Championship and looks to secure the first Invictus Racing League's Driver Title. The battle for second is still alive with Ryan and Kieran finding spectacular form in the season's conclusion.
